AfAc Publisher's Commitment to Originality

At AfAc Publisher, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical research practices. Plagiarism, in all its forms, goes against these core principles.

Plagiarism is the act of copying or reusing text, ideas, images, or data from other sources without proper attribution. This includes:

  • Direct copying from another source without quotation marks or citation.
  • Paraphrasing significant portions of text without proper citation.
  • Reusing images or data from another source without attribution.
  • Self-plagiarism: Reusing significant portions of text from an author's own previous publication without proper citation.

How We Ensure Originality?

AfAc Publisher is a member of CrossCheck and utilizes iThenticate software to screen all submitted manuscripts for originality. This powerful tool compares submissions against millions of published research papers and billions of web pages to identify potential plagiarism

Consequences of Plagiarism

Any detected plagiarism will be investigated thoroughly, following the guidelines set forth by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Depending on the severity of the case, the manuscript may be:

  • Rejected for publication
  • Accepted for publication with corrections and proper citations added
  • Retracted after publication

In some instances, the author's institution may be notified about the plagiarism case.

Reporting Plagiarism

We encourage editors, peer reviewers, and readers to report any concerns regarding plagiarism at any stage of the publication process. COPE provides helpful flowcharts to guide the handling of potential plagiarism in both submitted manuscript and published article.

Working Together for Ethical Research

By working together – authors, editors, reviewers, and readers – we can ensure the integrity of published research and uphold the highest ethical standards within the academic community.
