Following COPE and ICMJE guidelines, AfAc Publisher may consider correcting or retracting articles in rare cases. We also encourage post-publication discussions.

  • Crossmark: AfAc Publisher participates in Crossmark, a service that allows readers to locate the current version of published content and be alerted to any changes.
  • Corrections: We are committed to correcting honest errors in published articles. Corrections will be:
    • Published promptly upon confirmation of the error.
    • Clearly detailed with a link to the original article.
    • Not used to remove the original version from public access. A link to the correction will be displayed with the original article

The format of the correction depends on when the article was published (online vs. print).

  • Retractions: In rare cases, articles may be retracted. Retractions aim to revise the literature and alert readers to unreliable information. Retracted articles will not be deleted from the public domain, and each case will be reviewed individually. COPE guidelines for retraction suggest retraction may be considered for:
    • Major errors (miscalculations, experimental errors) or fabrication/falsification of data.
    • Plagiarism.
    • Redundant publication without proper attribution or justification.
    • Unauthorized use of material or data.
    • Copyright infringement or other legal issues.
    • Unethical research practices.
    • Compromised or manipulated peer review process.
    • Undisclosed conflicts of interest.

Retractions will be:

  • Linked to the retracted article in all electronic versions.
  • Clearly identified as a retraction in the title.
  • Include details such as the reason for retraction, who initiated it, etc.
  • Published promptly to minimize potential harm.

By outlining these policies, AfAc Publisher strives to uphold the integrity of scientific research published in our journals. We encourage transparency and responsible conduct from all authors, reviewers, and readers.
